My Pixel 7 is a great phone, except that it doesn’t receive USB-C cords very well. 90% of the time, I try to plug the phone into power it does not connect. As a result, I have had to resort to wireless charging of my smartphone to get the battery back up to 100%. No amount of cleaning the port has fixed the problem. But what happens when I am away from the house and on the go? If my phone’s battery is low how I do recharge it so I can continue on with my day?
Enter the Chusii 12,000 mAh Magnetic Wireless Charger and the Bentoben Magnetic Smartphone case. I got both of these products from Amazon for a very low price of $35 in early 2026. Below is my review of the two products in video format, and under the video is my written review:
Magnetic Wireless Charger Review
The Chusii 12,000 mAh Magnetic Wireless Charger is a well-made heavyweight battery bank. It’s size and weight show it isn’t cheap but it also means you have a pretty heavy object in your pocket or backpack. Not ideal to say the least but it does do what it is supposed to do which is charge your phone wirelessly. In that regard the device worked great.
You need to temper expectations when it comes to charging speed, though. As most wireless charging goes these days it is not a sprint but more of a marathon. With the right expectations, you will be happy with this magnetic battery bank.
One of the things we liked most about this battery bank was the digital readout for the battery percentage status. With other battery banks you might have 4 dots that you have to interpret… if two are illuminated does that mean there is 27% or 50% or 71% battery? Who knows! Well what I do know what to do is read a number 67% is just that… sixty-seven percent.
A less handy but worthwhile feature of the Chusii 12,000 mAh Magnetic Wireless Charger is the kickstand. Deployed in the vertical position, it is a little top-heavy and unstable, but most people use kickstands in a horizontal position, which this device can do. When extended this wa,y the phone is stable and at a good position. We watched a movie on a flight home from California. I placed it on the fold-out tray table and it worked great. During the 90-minute movie, my phone increased in battery level instead of dropping to 0%. A win for me!
Magnetic Smartphone Case Review
The Bentoben Magnetic Smartphone case is what a typical budget smartphone case is these days. A great quality, affordable insurance from the smartphone drops. In this case, it does more, though… it converts your non-Magsafe phone (newer iPhones and Pixels have built-in magnets) to a phone that can receive magnetic accessories, which is why we bought it in the first place.
For a phone case, it is solid. It seems well-built, and the buttons on the side work well. They have nice tactile feedback. It isn’t too bulky, though we like our Spigen Pixel 7 case better for being slim. In the end though this case was bought for the magnet. So how does it do?
One word: great. The Bentoben Magnetic Smartphone case has a strong magnetic pull for accessories like the charger reviewed above. The embedded magnet does not scratch your phone. At the same time, it is not very thick. I worried about that, but my concern was unfounded… the case was pretty slim while still holding tight to its magnetic friends. In the video above, you can see me trying to shake the phone off of the charger, but the magnetic pull was too strong.
Charger & Case Final Verdict
If you have a Pixel 7 or Pixel 6 with a bad charging port (or any model of phone for that matter) and cleaning it out with toothpicks and q-tips didnt do the trick, the next logical step is a complete part replacement which can be costly. In between those two options is what I opted for… a combo of a magnetic smartphone case and a magnetic wireless charger. The two together will keep your phone charging while on the go and keep you from being left with a dead battery. A real need in today’s world.
